I've dated three Hispanic guys. Of course, it's hard to characterize a whole race and not stereotype, but I think you can speak of general cultural traits.
I've found that Hispanic men usually want serious relationships - they're less likely than American men to go out on individual dates. It's more usual for them to be in a relationship, not just going on random dates.
They also can sometimes be more jealous than American males. This can be good or bad, depending on what you want.
They're also pretty good at compliments and using affectionate names. Better than American guys usually, anyway.
Is internet dating real and working? what are the common character traits of spanish men?
I can tell you (as a Latin man) that we do take relationships a little more seriously (at least I do). We tend to scope from afar, and only approach someone that we feel chemistry with, along with an intense desire to know better... Granted, there are just as many guys that want a quick "hook up"... I found my girlfriend of almost one year, on Yahoo personals. I only contacted her, after reading through a number of personal ads. What I found was that there are just as many shallow women as there are shallow men. She, however, was very real!! I must have read her personal description three or four times just mesmerized. We went out after spending nearly two weeks talking (first on chat, then on the phone). We plan to marry in September, and looking to buy a nice house as well.
