My friend has been doing this latley and i dont know if is safe for him what are your thoughts?

Internet dating? Yes? Or No?
If you are an adult, it's totally safe. I've dated and had long-term relationships with women that I have met online. I know some people (men and women) that met their spouses on popular dating sites. It's just an additional avenue to meet people. Your friend should still go out with you and other friends and still try and meet people the old fashioned way.





Just be sure to get a picture (in this day and age, there is no reason to not be able to provide a picture online to the opposite sex). Also, be sure to ask questions. You can be polite and still get information about someone. Finally, talk on the phone before meeting in person in a public, well lit place.

Most of the guys I've gone out with in recent years, are one's I met on the 'net initially and then met offline (in public) to see if there was interest in proceeding further.





There are creeps online and off...thankfully no one I ever met was far from the way they'd represented themselves online.
