My friend tried it but he found the girls to all lie about themselves and post fake photos, are there any real girls to meet online?

It is possible, I met my husband five years ago on line. To top the situation, he lived in Holland and me in Puerto Rico.





First, get to know people as friends. Don't look around for a girlfriend on the first profiles you see. Don't show desperation and keep a cool attitude.





If the person talks about their family, job and friends is probably true. Also if they send you many pictures and she looks the same is also probably true. A fake can only post a few. Share daily stuff, even the boring part. A true one is likely to reply the same she did.





If it is meant to be then arrange to meet, still under friends condition. After that you can make your mind if this is what you want. It took a year of daily emails, photos and chatting before my husband and I met for the first time. Then I knew this was going to work good.

If the person you talk to won't send a picture, you have a clue that she is probably not happy with the way she looks. There is only one way to tell if she is telling the truth: meet her. If she has lied about anything in her profile, including her picture, then drop her like a hot potato. As far as I can see, that's the only disadvantage to meeting someone online. You can spend time emailing before you talk on the phone and then go from there. You don't have that option when you just meet someone in a bar or the grocery store or something.
