Does Internet dating work or are they just there to take your money?

It worked for me ....and I haven't lostany money out of it.

I think it might work for the right people, but odds are against it.
Reply:well you only pay to communicate with the people you're interested in. but alot of sites let you look at all posted profiles and even send certain messages to people your interested in. but if you want to "chat" THEN you have to pay....i dont think it's a rip off.
Reply:A few years ago this leaflet came through my door from a dating agency that boasted how it was the first of its kind to use "Intricate computer matching" I was at a pretty low ebb in my life so I phoned up they asked me where I lived I told them they said do I drive as their closest office was about an hour or so away.


They asked what did I do for a living? And it was then they said how it would only cost me £600 to be on their books and how they would be able to fix me up with someone. I very quickly made an excuse to go soon after.

Reply:my moms friend just married someone she met on an internet dating thing, so i guess it works sometimes. of course, she met a lot of scary looking guys (w/ no teeth etc.) before she met this one
