What are some good internet dating sites? Any I should stay away from?

I've tried some dating sites before and have noticed that the free ones are usually not as quality as the pay ones, but some of the pay ones don't give you many results. Can anyone suggest a good site or one to stay away from?

Thanks!!

It depends on what you are looking for. I will tell you from experience, stay away from eharmony. That said, free sites are no good. You get what you pay for. Pay the small ( and yes..it is small to meet people..) Match and Yahoo personals are the best in my opinion. Your answers name suggests you have children. No problem with that. I met my fiancee on match. We are going to get married on 3/25. Make sure that you are picky and find someone who wants to be part of an existing family. I will be the best step father in the world..Make sure you get the second best. Good luck!

bookmark it .....its going to be big!
Reply:OK Cupid is a good one and it's free
Reply:I met my fiancé on Lavalife. Try it out, you never know
Reply:Datechest is a new site, but it seems to have the best of both worlds. Its completely free to use, but they have upgrades features for those who are serious. They're cheap enough that they won't break you, but they can help keep away the freaks and spam.
Reply:I've liked Eharmony the best, it's pricy, but you realize why after you meet some quality people!
Reply:I guess it is difficult to strike a balance but in a world where we must pay for everything I would definately strive for a free dating site. You can't put a price on love after all! I've used www.freedating.co.uk for a while with moderate success. It's quite adequate for a free site. Another option is the flirtbox.co.uk website where you can choose an area and do a random search of singles in that area. Anyway thats my offering! Whatever you choose... good luck!
Reply:Obviously the common ones like Match and Yahoo Personals will have a lot to choose from. Some of the free ones attract the freaks but I have also heard good feedback from some people on them too - Craigslist, PlentyofFish, OK Cupid, etc.

Honestly, it takes a little experimenting and trying things out to find out what is a good one in your area and for your age as it really does vary.
Reply:why would you use a dating site?
