Questions on internet dating?

What are the best sites? You know the ones that actually work?

Also, is there a way to avoid the same people over and over again? The last time I did net dating (about 2 years ago) I started to notice it was the same people over and over again. Is there a way to avoid this? Do the good ones get "scooped up" quick? If so are there specific ways to be the "scooper"? lol!

Also, any advice on writing a good profile?

I just broke up with my gf and I am wondering it net dating still works?

Personals are pretty much a waste of time. The only one I would say might be worth something is eharmony.com. They help you with all of that, creating a profile. I was thinking about trying that out, myself. Just based on the tv commercials, its seems like it may be alright. You really have to watch it wit online dating. People lie and decieve you.
Reply:http://www.okcupid.com is a free net dating site that conducts itself like a pay net dating site does. Lots of ways to improve your matches with people, and a lot of a fun to noodle around on when you're bored. I've met some good people off of that site, including the girl who I'm moving in with at the end of the month. Good luck!
Reply:Don't go on yahoo personals, trust me!

Reply:Okay here is my thought process on Internet dating...DON"T!

How do you know that the person you're talking to is really that person...here let me clarify.... People like to fool around with others emotions. How do I put this?.........You can chat with someone and "get to know them".... but for real now.... how do you know their telling the truth. The could be some old pervert getting his jollies by thinking he's talking to some young female. She could be freshly released from the woman's ward for some Hannis crime.... how would you know? You go to meeting someone... how can you make sure that some Charles Manson wanna-be isn't gonna be standing at the end of the Ilse waiting to kill you just for fun, you do what you want I just want to say I don't think it's safe.
