Is there an Internet dating site better than Match and Yahoo?

I've tried Match.com and Yahoo and met some good women, but I felt like many of the profiles were fake and others were misrepresented. I don't want to go to one of the porn-type personals but I was wondering if anybody has had good experiences with a dating site that is less mainstream, or has anybody had luck with some other method in the Chicago area. I'm a little too busy to be cruising the clubs.

the problem with online dating sites (and the internet in itself) is that you can't tell whether or not the person you are talking to is telling the truth about who they are. anyone can be anything they want when they can't be seen behind their monitor and keyboard. i've tried some of the dating sites in the past, just like you have, and always came up disappointed. the internet really isn't a good place to find someone to spend time with.
Reply:I have heard from coworkers that eharmony.com is one of the best, the profile is long and it does cost money to join but from what I have heard they are pretty thorough in finding a match On the other hand try yahoo's romance by location and select your state I met my man there :)

So I think you do not need to find the best dating site. You just need to be serious and try to find the right person.
