NEED ADVICE ON INTERNET DATINg?

ok, as of last week i have giving up on myspace....that **** has messed up my relationship with my newly named ex......but anyway, i just made me a profile on blackplanet.com.....and there are so many guys that are looking for love....well anyways i was browsing throuh the list of people who were online and i came across this guys page. After looking on it i kept searching through more profile....alittle bit later he Aim me and we started talking, We have been talking for a few days now and i think i like him ...as a person or maybe more... he gave me his number to call but i never called..........what i want to know is if there is something wrong with meeting someone over the internet?








I found out that he goes to the same college as me and everything............................so please don't say be careful cause i know what's up with stockers......

it is kinda like dating for real. you never know what you are going to get. go for it, as long as you feel safe, and after talking to him on the phone, getting a pic, etc., etc. since you go to the same college meeting him in a public place should not pose any problem, but make sure you do meet somewhere in public. just in case.

Reply:I met my current boyfriend over the internet. We talked online and on the phone for over a year, then I moved to Florida to be with him. We've been together ever since and that's been over five and a half years. It can work, you just have to be careful. Not to mention that since you both go to the same school, you can meet safely and know that you both have things in common. Give it a chance, if you meet and there is no chemistry at least you tried...
Reply:The thing about internet dating is people can make up whatever bullcrap they want to pull you into their trap. How exactly do you know he is truthful? The internet is a fantasy realm. You are able to be anonymous or create a profile of lies. There is no guarantee that you are chatting with whomever the person claims to be. So please just be well aware of what you say and do over the internet.





Did you see on TV about the young girl who hung herself because of a boy on the internet? She chatted with him and he acted like he liked her. One day he totally went off on her and said some very mean things to hurt her feelings. So she killed herself. Come to find out the boy on the internet wasn't even a boy. It was a girl and her mother that lived down the road and didn't like her. They wanted to embarass her and make her look foolish. This story is so sad and tragic. Just don't be so quick to trust anyone over the internet.
