Internet dating? lolz?

I'm seventeen, a girl, and have never dated. I really see no reason to seriously date until at least college because I think I should put school and things first. On top of that I have a medical condition that requires me to have plastic surgery on my face like once a year and it can get complicated and fairly icky. I mean I don't look like a freak or anything though it's just really complicated stuff. I just don't have time for a "real" relationship. Should I "date" this kid online just to try it out. Like he lives far away so I'd never actually have to meet him and if he's a creep I could just ignore/block him. My guy friends do this all the time. I really don't see what's wrong with it.

Reply:nah, you said it yourself plus if you never plan on meeting him which is usually what happens you might just hurt his feelings. My sister met these guys on WOW and ended up dating some of them just like a usual couple, cell phone calls, txt msgs, ect. My sister liked these guys so much and also friends that she wanted them to come over to NY. They made plans and all those times my sister attempted to meet the dude or friends would cancel everything even the plane ticket they already bought because of his religion or another issue..... she been depressive after each time. hope that helps and i hope my sister can get a real dude in person T^T (she is 20)

i say its easier to meet people in person then on the internet and when you feel is ready :)
