I feel despondant using dating cites with no success. Even on the free ones eg: plenty of fish.com

HAS ANYONE EVER HAD a success story of using an internet dating cite, to find themselves a boy/girl friend???
I know of two couples who found each other on the net - one lot married. But neither used a dating site - just went to sites they were interested in (one music, one computers) and met partners that way.

Reply:Try one you have to pay for like Match.com. You will meet more serious people. I know about six people who got married from that site.

It probably works for some people, but I've never met one.
Reply:The best way to get to know someone and fall in love with them is to go out into the big wide world and find them, sometimes its just luck, sometimes you have to look for them. why not try speed dating, or starting a hobbie to get to know people interested in the same things as you, everyone has a special someone, you'll find them one day.
Reply:i met my current partner on Loopy love......but hey i had to sift through piles of pervs before i found this diamond...........he's great! if it works out it will be fantastic............if it doesn't then i'll keep trying.

Reply:well i thought i did met this guy through a dating site 2 yrs ago then he dumped me few wks ago,so mine was not succesful,but i wont give up finding a real guy who will love me for who i am.
