No more weird than the phone date lines. You just never know who, or what, your going to end up with. This is true in any random meeting, introduced by friends, blind date, bar, coffee shop, grocery store, whatever. If one is going to try this I recommend go slow. Maybe coffee, if one tends to party, a bar with your friend close by. You still might get a crazy, a clinger or a stalker.


I bet these things don't happen as often as people would think, but the possibility is still there.

I met my significant other on the net, even I think it's a bit weird still. But if we did, we would have a very poor chance of meeting each other physically as we live 50 miles apart.

Reply:i thought it was weird at first but i have to admit i met my hubby on the net and i know for a fact both of us can get ppl w/o the internet..... i guess it all depends on the person....

Furthermore, internet dating exposes you to a much broader range and variety of people, so you can really find the right person for you (or at least try!)
